As if we needed a judge to tell us this, White House is told it should preserve its emails. Bush legal counsel has ten days to come up with a good excuse why Kennedy should not order the preservation of White House staff emails. Sorry Karl Rove, but "because we do not want too" is not an adequate reason.

The Skinny:
U.S. magistrate urges judge to order the White House to keep copies of its e-mail
Ethics advocacy group says the White House has deleted millions of messages
U.S. District Judge Henry Kennedy will decide whether to issue the order
