Last Nights Democratic Debate

Watched the Democratic Debates last night, and found every candidate had positions on certain issues that I agreed with, but that none of them hold enough right positions on the key issues that I would at this moment give them my vote. One thing is certain, come next November, we as citizens will have a choice of picking the lesser of two evils.

Dennis Kucinich was not his usual jovial self last night, seemed quite bitter and angry at the entire process. Perhaps because he knows last night was his swan song, that his participation in the process is about to end. I like him, but he lost any chance at my vote with the position he took regarding illegal aliens last night.

I liked what the New Mexico Governor had to say on Energy and Global Warming...it was pretty startling (in a good way) to hear the former secretary of the DOE come right out and say that Nuclear is not the answer. Again though, his position on illegals is a real sticking point.

CLinton offended me several times last night, but what else is new. What I could not believe, was her trying to defend NOT raising the cap on Social Security, as such a move could hurt many of those earning over $97,000 a year. What am I missing here? IT's OK to hurt those earning under $97,000 a year by taxing every cent they earn, but GOd forbid those earning say $250,000 a year have to settle for a mid range Mercedes? At least Obama had a clue, and was honest in stating raising of the cap would only affect the top six percent of citizens in America...CAN WE SAY THE FILTHY RICH?

None of the candidates, except maybe Biden were being honest about Iraq.

Teachers and merit pay...agree with Dodd who wants it based on teachers willing to go out into hard to serve areas and make a difference. Here is another clue. How about if we start funding education federally, so that all schools are created equal.

Edwards we can all forget about. There is something inherently dishonest about him.

One thing was obvious, and that is CNN is trying to set the deck in favor of Obama and Clinton, and are pulling for Clinton. Don't rule out a Clinton/Clinton ticket in 2008.

Governor Spitzer's Law Abiding Illegal Aliens

There has been quite the racket in the media about Governor Spitzer's wrong sighted desire to give supposedly hard working, otherwise law abiding illegal aliens New York drivers licenses. If you turn on Lou Dobbs (which I do without fail) you are sure to hear about this issue, and about Hillary Clinton's stand on it.

So everyone knows, I've always felt, and the law supports me on this, that those here in America illegally, working here in America as illegal aliens are criminals. Yes, I am well aware that some would call me a racist for holding such views, even suggest that I go for some sensitivity training.

In 2002, late fall I went out and bought a 2001 Hyndai Tiburon sports car. It was, and is the newest car I have ever owned. All white, with twin black and red pin stripes running down either side of the car that I had put on shortly after buying the car. The black interior really made the car a beauty. I installed a very high in stereo with a DVD movie player in the car, even added XM radio. I kept the car in good shape, had it fully detailed at least twice a year, washed the car at least a couple times a month and just a few weeks ago had a new exhaust system, tires and a tune up done on my baby to the tune of over $1,500.

What does that have to do with illegal aliens? In my mind, from my perspective, it has everything to do with illegal aliens, has everything to do with government run amok, refusing to deal with a ever growing problem, specifically illegal aliens being, living, and working in America.

Today I was in my home office on the second floor of our home when I heard a crashing sound. I quickly leap to the window which is a few feet from my desk to see a silver SUV like vehicle lurk forward hitting another car, then racing away down the street. I raced down stairs to grab the phone to call 9/11, and with phone in hand ran out onto my porch to see what had happened in this hit and run accident. Imagine my shock when my beautiful little white sports car, the newest vehicle I have ever owned was kicked up onto the curb, it's rear right wheel snapped off the axle and laying on its side.

Now, imagine my anger when I find out that the person in the car was first and foremost, according to one witness extremely intoxicated. It seems the driver of the vehicle who hit mine and another neighbor's vehicle and his buddy had been out boozing it up, and the driver dropped his pal off at the house across the street from my home. Now, this pal, who was in the vehicle just before the incident occurred was NOT TALKING, and not coming out of his house to even say hello to the police officer who was now present on the scene...why you might ask? Seems like his patriot in the car, he too was apparently and illegal alien.

As a little side note to all this, the owner of the second vehicle that was hit in this Malay of automobile carnage wasn't overly anxious to come out and identify themselves as the owner of said vehicle either...you guessed it, said vehicle owner was and is in America illegally.

So, we have a illegal alien here in my town, driving it is assumed without a license, recklessly endangering the lives of others and himself by driving while intoxicated who totally destroys my dearly beloved automobile.

I've spent the afternoon looking through used Hyundai Tiburons online...to get a vehicle similarly equipped, and in about the same shape as mine looks like it will cost me around $9,000-$11,000. In addition to this, I would have to pay to have my stereo and other toys removed from my crashed car and put into the new one, which adds another $1,500 to the mix. Problem is, if the insurance company writes my car off as a totalled vehicle, I am going to get about $5,500 after I pay my deductible on the policy. So, to be made whole, it is going to cost me out of pocket between $5,000 and $7,000 which I do not have. All because our government refuses to deal with illegals, refuses to detain and deport them.

Law abiding people do not enter a country illegally. Law abiding people do not work under the table, or use fake ID to work above board in a job they are not supposed to hold. Law abiding citizens do not drive without a license, do not drive under the influence of alcohol, and do not LEAVE THE SCENE of an accident. Simply stated, illegal aliens need detained, prosecuted and deported, not rewarded with a New York driver license...and yes, I live in the state of New York, and was livid about the Governor's proposal before today's incident occurred.

Congressman John Hall, naive, or Anti Nuclear Benedict Arnold?

In breaking news from our sister blog, the Green Nuclear Butterfly, it seems that 70's Rocker, and perhaps the world's most well known Anti-Nuclear activist for organizing the Ant-Nuke Concert At Madison Square Gardens, Congressman John Hall has voted in favor of a 2008 Military Spending Bill that calls for the United States Navy to be and all NUCLEAR FLEET. This goes far beyond a stumble in Congressman John Hall's limited political career, and is the second time in less than two weeks that he has appeared anything but ANTI NUCLEAR. Harvey Wasserman who has played a key role in the Nuke Free Petition drive to oppose the $50 Billion loan guarantees for the Commercial Nuclear Industry was contacted at his Bexley Ohio home refused comment on the matter. Will be curious to see how the creator of Solartopia, and writer for the Huffington Post responds to this latest John Hall blunder.

Has Anti Nuclear Rocker John Hall Sold His Soul To Nuclear Devil?

Making news all over America in the past couple of weeks was the reemergence of MUSE as stalwarts in the music industry Bonnie Raitt , Jackson Browne and others launched a new movement to stop the $50 Billion Loan guarantees slated for the Commercial Nuclear Industry as they push for a Nuclear Renaissance here in America. With great fanfare a petition drive was launched, complete with a new web site and organization as Congressman John Hall's friends in the music industry rode into town on their white steeds. (http://www.nukefree.org/ ) It was a start, and many of us in the anti nuclear movement were anxiously awaiting ACT II...would MUSE finally do something to oppose the wrongful license renewal of 104 again reactors such as Entergy's aging Indian Point? Would the music industry step up to bat, and beat back a wrongful Nuclear Renaissance, oppose the license renewal of trouble plagued plants, and oppose all new build applications being filed with the NRC...so many questions as we enjoyed the new video, as 120,000 anti nuclear folk poured out of the wood work to rush off and sign the petition!



The movement seemed to stumble at a Press Conference when everyone but Jackson Browne seemed to stumble...the most noticeable stumble came from Congressman John Hall, perhaps the most NOTABLE Anti Nuclear musician of his time, who ran on the promise of CLOSING DOWN INDIAN POINT. When asked if he would SUPPORT Pro-Nuclear Presidential Candidates Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama if they win the nod to carry the Democratic banner, he said he would support them! WHAT! wait a minute, say it ain't so John!

Whispers rushed through the grassroots here in New York, telephones rang as conversations on this revelation began...with a certain sadness the consensus seemed to be that John Hall had to play politics, and was just doing what he had to do to keep his ducks in a row inside the beltway. With tears in our eyes, and a bit of doubt in our hearts, it was decided to give John Hall the benefit of the doubt. After all, he is only a Freshman, and besides, LOOK at what he is making happen with MUSE...120,000 signatures is NOTHING TO SNEEZE AT. Further, he, Nita Lowey and Maurice Hinchey are all in favor of shutting down Indian Point, they have told us so, have stated they are against NUCLEAR ENERGY.

Shaken, but reassured, we moved forward, taking solace in Jackson Browne's comments, and the incredible list of Music Titans who had signed onto the petition such as Herbie Hancock, Musician/Activist, David Crosby, Musician/Activist, Pearl Jam, Musicians/Activists and even Melissa Etheridge. Even more assuring at the time was the fact that long time environmentalist and anti nuclear legend Paul Harvey was in charge of the new web site.



Imagine the resurgence in our ranks as we began believing we had friends in hight places who were TRUE TO OUR CAUSE, would carry our anti nuclear message into the Halls of Congress, work with us to stop the wrongful license renewal of trouble plagued nuclear reactors like Indian Point, Vermont Yankee, Pilgrim, Diablo Canyon and others.

Then, the other shoe dropped when I was reading and article today about the Defense Appropriations bill passed by Congress for 2008. The House-passed measure that would require the Navy to make its future fleet of surface combatants nuclear powered. WHAT? OH MY FREAKING GOD, a major expansion of nuclear propulsion cruising around the worlds oceans! Thinking it was a mistake, I ran off to do some research into the bill.

Sure as God makes little green apples it was true! From hence forth if the Congress has its way, all Naval ships will be floating Nuclear Reactors! My first thought was, "Does John Hall know about this?" My second thought was, "How did our anti nuclear members of Congress (Lowey, Hinchey and John Hall) vote on this? OH MY FREAKING GOD! All three members supported this bill, voted in favor of AND ALL NUCLEAR NAVY!

Such a vote, showing support for a bill that calls for a all Nuclear Navy is nothing short of treason to the Nuclear Movement. The very people we are counting on to help close down Indian Point, to stop the plants leaking of tritium and strontium 90 into the Hudson River voted to have all future war ships powered by nuclear reactors!

Are Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt, Bruce Hornsby and Harvey Wasserman aware of this betrayal? Stay tuned as the Green Nuclear Butterfly investigates this story further.

What if Today's Nuclear Reactor Bomb Scare Was A Industry Publicity Stunt?

OK, call me jaded here, but as I look more closely at today's pipe bomb scare at the Palo Verde nuclear reactor site the question arises, "was it a con job by nuclear industry insiders?" If it looks like a skunk, smells like a skunk, and walks like a skunk, maybe someone should start asking some probing questions to get to the truth.

I became aware of the incident on CNN. However, my first suspicions arose when I watched a FOX News report on the incident. Someone acting as a spokesperson stated the usual NRC, nuclear industry canned "the public was never in any danger" remark. However,they then went further to state that the facility, which could withstand the attack of a 737 airliner was never in any danger. They finished off talking about how the Security (Wackenhut)performed flawlessly at this trouble plagued facility.

The story for me became even more unbelievable as they went further into describing the event. First, there was not even enough explosives to blow up the truck, let alone anything at the plant. Additionally, authorities would not identify the plant worker who conveniently is a temporary staff member FROM OUT OF STATE who usually rides his motorcycle to work, but today brought his truck onto the nuclear site....hmmmm...so, bomb sniffing dogs that DO NOT sniff every vehicle just happened to sniff his truck on the one day he decided to bring it to work. Wonder what the odds in Vegas would be on that stroke of PERFECT LUCK.

The report went on to state, that this UNIDENTIFIED WORKER claimed to have no knowledge of how the pipe bomb ended up in his truck, and some speculation was made that someone might have PUT IT THERE. Sure, someone just walked through the apartment complex this man is staying in, and tossed a small pipe bomb into the back of his pick up truck, and I have a bridge I would like to sell Neil Sheehan and Sam Collins.

So, with the black eye that Wackenhut and the industry have taken recently about SLEEPING GUARDS, from out of nowhere a perfect event presents itself where Wackenhut and the nuclear industry can THUMP THEIR CHESTS and claim the security at the nuclear facility performed FLAWLESSLY, the guards reacted perfectly, and the plant was never in any trouble because it could withstand a direct attack from a 737 airliner.

SORRY, but I smell a SKUNK in this story. perhaps the news media needs to find out if they have been duped. Perhaps, NRC, NEI and the nuclear industry decided to borrow a page out of the Pentagon play book (Lincoln Group), or thought they could do a better job than FEMA at creating fake news...whatever the truth is, do not think todays event is exactly what is being presented to us.

Another Pro-Illegal Whiner in Amanda Martinez

Perhaps smarting from a devastating DEFEAT of the Pro-Illegal, Pro-Criminal Dream Act, one Amanda Martinez has written and article in The Nation bemoaning the plight of the invisible victims of the California wildfires last week, the ILLEGAL ALIENS. Her basic line could have been torn right out of the La Raza play book...essential workers slipping through the relief cracks, not getting their fair share of AMERICAN TAX DOLLAR assistance in the aftermath of the fires that swept California. A couple points for Amanda:

1. These poor men ARE CRIMINALS, have broken laws.

2. Sure if they want to turn themselves into the border patrol, America will be happy to give them a meal, and make arrangements for one way transportation back to their host country.

3. If Amanda, and the Mexican Consulate is so worried about these Mexican Citizens, they are more than capable of spending their OWN GOVERNMENT MONEY lending them a hand in getting back on their feet.

Everyone has their panties in a knot over FEMA's fake news conference...who cares? Would seem to me, that everyone should be far more interested in what happened to the Lincoln Group and the fake news stories coming out of Iraq. Surely America's memory is not that short? The pay offs to Iraqi reporters to write pro-American fake stories about how well things were going in Iraq, the companies rags to riches success, and the $100 million dollar Pentagon Special Ops contract they won...surely that deserves more attention that the deal being made over the FEMA screw up?

FEMA official heads to intelligence office amid fake news conference flap

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Nearly a week after the Federal Emergency Management Agency held a fake news conference, the man who led its public relations office will begin work Monday as the director of public affairs for the director of national intelligence, a DNI spokesman said Sunday.

Ross Feinstein, a spokesman for the intelligence office, said FEMA External Affairs Director Pat Philbin was offered the job "well before" a Tuesday news conference where agency staffers lobbied questions to the agency's deputy administrator, Vice Adm. Could Califronia Fires COLLAPSE Power Grid?

Something that came to mind. A utility spokesman has said the Harris Fire has damaged a 500,000-volt transmission line, which will be out of service until at least Wednesday. Other transmission lines have been destroyed. With this important information, the questions arises, "Could the Power Grid be in danger of collapsing in Southern California? Even worse, if it does, what would such a collapse mean for the nuclear reactor now in serious danger of being engulfed in flames?

San Diego County, officials admit that the Witch Fire is very worrisome, as it has already burned over 200,000 acres, and presents a serious THREAT to public infrastructures...as in Nuclear Plant?

Well, this breaking news should make you shudder as the situation worsens:

KPBS News, the local NPR affiliate, just reported that the “Witch Creek and Poomacha Fires have officially merged and collectively remains out of control.” Together, they’ve burned 200,000 acres, the report said, although most of that is the Witch fire. [Update: The San Diego Office of Emergency Services confirmed the news.]

Dantes Inferno Rushs Toward San Onofre Nuclear Plant

As out of control fires blanket Southern California in a living hell, the citizens of America have a much larger problem they need to be worrying about. The towering inferno that is torching hundreds of homes is now less than seven miles from the San Onofre Nuclear Plant. There should be a collectively GASP as that shoe drops.

Mount Palomar, San Onofre:

Fire officials at the command center in Riverside said the Mt. Palomar fire has exploded to 20,000 acres and could threaten the famed observatory at the top, which houses one of the world's largest telescopes. They also said two fires have broken out in Camp Pendleton, the Wilcox Fire at 1,200 acres and the Ammo Fire at 350 acres. The Ammo fire has raised concerns because it is at the base of San Onofre Peak and climbing up toward an array of telecommunications equipment. The San Onofre nuclear power plant is on the other side. Chief of Operations Chief Bob Green said the governor asked him to send in air tankers to lay down water between the fire and the communications equipment.

Odd that we are facing what could be a catastrophic NUCLEAR FIRE just as the NRC is attempting to LOWER SAFETY MARGINS for America's aging fleet of 104 nuclear reactors. Par for the course, the NRC is trying to put a positive spin on the situation by claiming there are no immediate risks to human health and the environment. Maybe a major news network needs to ask the NRC what the risks are going to be IF THE FIRE REACHES the reactor?

Tossing Andrea Batista Schlesinger A Quarter With Which To Buy a Clue

Andrea has an article over on Huffington Post wherein she wrongfully beats up on Lou Dobbs for opposing Elliot Spitzers dictatorial decision to give ILLEGAL ALIENS a drivers license, even though New Yorkers overwhelming oppose his lame brained addled thinking on the issue. she apparently comes from the old school of rewarding CRIMINALS for their bad behavior and lawlessness.

Can hear her now waxing poetic about these poor souls just trying to make a living, just trying to feed their families. Curious Andrea, what about the American families who have their jobs stolen from them that can now no longer feed their families...guess that is OK with you? Suppose the fact that illegals in the work force are lowering the wages for middleclass Americans by almost eight percent is OK by you as well?

Drivers licenses for illegals is just another MAGNET to bring criminals into our neighborhoods, and though it may incense you, WE DO NOT WANT THEM. Much like Lou Dobbs, I am in full support of LEGAL IMMIGRANTS, but understand the difference between legal and illegal. You should learn to see the difference. As for their kids...did it ever occur to you, that we do not want their Anchor Babies? If they are SO CONCERNED about keeping their families together, let them all return to their LEGAL COUNTRY of residence and then apply to come to the United States legally. As for taking their children to school...if those children are ILLEGAL, we do not want them in our schools. Yes, I oppose the Dream Act, which in fact and deed is a nightmare for Legal American Families. Where is it fair that our tax dollars are now paying for bilingual instructors in almost every classroom?

Resucitate struggling neighborhoods...you are so far off base on that, it is not even funny. Let me tell you about having ILLEGAL ALIENS in your neighborhood. For starters, try having 30-40 illegals all packed into ONE HOUSE. Imagine that 14 of those 30-40 people own old beater cars, so that now a once quiet street with no parking problems now finds itself with serious parking issues. Imagine such an over crowded house, and the garbage it creates attracting RATS anc cockroaches. Imagine trying to sleep in, but some low life contractor that hires illegals daily pulls up in front of said house full of illegals at six in the morning, and begins honking the horn until his illegal workers come piling out of the house and into his van. Imagine a quiet neighborhood that suddenly has gang style graffiti showing up on stone walls. Is that your idea of illegal aliens resuscitating struggling neighborhoods?

You can paint your pretty little rosy picture of those wonderful ILLEGAL ALIENS, but it does not jive with my own real life experiences having to deal with them. We don't want them in our neighborhoods, and do not want them driving on our streets. They simply put are criminals. On one side of me, I have immigrants, and find them pleasant delightful neighbors who work hard to fit in and adapt to our American ways. On the other side of me is a house full of ILLEGAL ALIENS that are nothing more than rift raft that run down our community, and find it sad that our law enforcment agencies refuse to raid the house and deport those living there illegally.

• Eighteen-year-old Tricia Taylor of Detroit was in court in December 2002 to hear the plea of the illegal alien who caused her to lose both legs above the knees. Jose Carcamo was driving under the influence (.08 percent blood alcohol level) and speeding when he drove over a curb and smashed Taylor into a wall. One report stated that Carcamo has had 17 violations since 1995. Another noted that he was drag racing at the time of the crash. It is agreed that the car was travelling between 50 and 75 miles per hour on a street posted for 25 mph. Taylor's companion Noah Menard suffered a fractured skull and collarbone, as well as requiring eight pins to reconstruct his mangled elbow. The INS had twice begun deportation proceeding against Carcamo to return him to El Salvador, but regrettably did not follow through. Carcamo will be out of jail in a few years, but Tricia Taylor faces a lifetime of pain and disability because of another failure of the INS to remove a dangerous alien. Incidentally, drinking to excess and then driving is celebrated in Hispanic cultures rather than condemned.

Dems Forking Americans, Planning to Force Through Dream Act For Illegals

America, get on the phones, start swamping your elected officials offices with email protests...it seems the Democrats want to sneak through the Dream Act which would allow ILLEGAL ALIENS, low life CRIMINALS to attend colleges at in state tuition rates, and give them a pathway to AMNESTY. The plan is simple...CLOTURE VOTE. New Yorkers need to SLAM BOTH HILLARY AND SCHUMER ON THIS issue, as they seem to be IN LOVE WITH ILLEGALS.

While you are at it, you should ask your elected officials a few POINTED questions about the Children's Health Care Bill...if it covers medical costs for ANCHOR BABIES we don't want it. My read of the bill leads me to believe that said bill would cover the medical costs of ALL CHILDREN BORN TO ILLEGALS.

Obama-You Are The Company You Keep

As the old adage says, you are the company you keep...Obama may not like the adage, or the truth of it, but life is what it is. If he keeps company with McClurkin, if he allows McClurkin to help him raise funds for his campaign, he on some level embraces the bigoted views on homosexuality espoused by Donnie McClurkin. Does not matter how big a tent it is, it should never be big enough to allow room for bigoted, prejudice views and opinions. As a nation, we need to move beyond tolerance to ACCEPTANCE, and Donnie McCLurkin's views are anything but accepting in scope when it comes to the GBLT community.

So Obama, which side of the debate are you going to stand on? Equal rights for all, or limited rights for those Americans who happen to have a sexual orientation other than heterosexual? If Donnie McClurkin performs at your events, we have our answer.

Prince of Darkness Guilty of Tax Evasion?

Seems that our dear Mr. Prince of Blackwater fame might be guilty of tax evasion. He's been trotting out the old "all my employees are independent contractors" scam. Now, I may be naive here, but one would think working security details involves your BOSS scheduling your hours? OUCH...that right there shoots a big hole in the Prince of Darkness's ruse.

Now, it would seem to make sense, that the Federal Government should SUSPEND all Federal Contracts let out to Blackwater until this little alleged TAX EVASION SCHEME is resolved, and our government is assured there has been no CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR on the part of our Mr. Prince. Surely, if it is true that our dear Mr. Prince and his beloved Blackwater have evaded his/their legal obligation to pay over $30 million in taxes, there could be some PRISON TIME? Add in the April-September unpaid taxes and the figure jumps to over $50 MILLION dollars! Wondering what that amount becomes with interest, fines and penalties? There was a case in Michigan of tax evasion, and the people that perpetrated that crime each got 24 months in Federal Prison...can you imagine the PRINCE in a smart orange prison jump suit? PRICELESS

Can see the crumbling empire now. After all, why would the State Department want to do business with tax evaders, thugs of the worst kind. Even worse, imagine the risks involved at the Pentagon in giving Blackwater access to TOP SECRET security information...surely the United States military cannot afford such risks? If Blackwater is guilty of cheating on their taxes, what other laws are they willing to break in accomplishing their own goals? Are they above committing murder? Would they be a bit trigger happy if someone got in the way of their goal? Best not be to quick in assumptions here...after all, Halliburton is still getting rich, so maybe laws don't apply to people in Mr. Prince's position.

Companies seeking immunity donate to U.S. senator

WASHINGTON: Executives at the two biggest phone companies contributed more than $42,000 in political donations to Senator John Rockefeller IV this year while seeking his support for legal immunity for businesses participating in National Security Agency eavesdropping.

The surge in contributions came from a Who's Who of executives at the companies, AT&T and Verizon, starting with the chief executives and including at least 50 executives and lawyers at the two utilities, according to campaign finance reports.

The money came primarily from a fund-raiser that Verizon held for Rockefeller in March in New York and another that AT&T sponsored for him in May in San Antonio.

Democrats Need To "Just Say No" to Presidents Supplemental War Request

The Republicans were swept out of office last fall because America wanted our troops home. The Democrats have had ample opportunity to put George Bush's feet to the fire, and have failed to do so. Now, they have a chance to END THE SURGE, and force the president's hand by refusing his Supplemental War Funding Request...question is, will they?

Let's face it, Iraqi troops have not stood up, other than to kill each other, and our soldiers. Further, the government of Iraq that was duly elected has also been a dismal failure. Let's give the Kurd's what they need to protect themselves, and act as a check on Iran (including all the equipment we do not intend on bringing home), cut our losses and come home. If everyone in the Middle East want to avoid a bloody civil war, let them step up to the plate for a change, as enough American Blood has been needlessly wasted in the desert sands.

Meanwhile, if private mercenaries (Blackwater) want to stay and keep fighting, let them find Iraqi's to pay them their blood money, rather than using US taxpayer dollars for their corporate agenda. The Democrats have a BIG CHANCE here to keep their promise to the voters, and to America....BRING OUR TROOPS home by defunding the war.

There is an article in the Washington Post about the plight of the illegal alien population over in Prince William County. N C Aizenman wants us, the public to feel sorry for these people, take notice of their plight. Perhaps Mr. Aizenman needs to understand that ILLEGAL means the person is a CRIMINAL. OH WHOOPS, am I being politically incorrect here, am I offending those that want to reclassify CRIMINALS as undocumented workers, am I offending people like Governor Spitzer from New York who wants to give illegals drivers license so they can more easily STEAL jobs that legal citizens WOULD DO? I hope so. The majority of Americans do not want CRIMINALS recieving Amnesty, we want them handed DEPORTATION PAPERS.

Now I am sure folks from the National Council of La Raza will scream, jump up and down and want to label me a racist, but does not change the reality that those here illegally ARE CRIMINALS. Ron Paul, and Power of Internet

First, have to admit to being more than a bit disturbed at FOX, and specifically Sean Hannity, which is not new, but the reasoning is new. Supposedly, the United States embraces the concept of one man (or woman) one vote, and the winner is the person who received the most votes. I don't like George Bush, think he is a scum sucking pig, BUT he is our president, and I have to accept that. Yet, when the text messages had spoken last night, and Ron Paul came out the winner, the first thing Hannity started doing, was discounting his win, claiming the FOX poll was fixed, and that Ron Paul's Rebels were stacking the ballot box.

HELLO HANNITY, they voted, he won. That infuriates you and others, because you do not want his message being heard, do not want his candidacy to have legitimacy. God forbid someone LIKE HIM be the Republican Standard Bearer! It was OK for Huckbee to come in second, but Ron Paul was an insult to your vision of the party, so you refused to give the winner his due...YOU SUCK DUDE!

All the other candidates in both parties should be taking lessons from Ron Paul. He and his staff are using the Internet to drive a movement, and having success at it. Not a new blogger here, but this blog is new. Yet, over night The Ron Paul Rebels found me under a host of search definitions. In short, they are finding their people, and getting them OUT TO VOTE, even if it was only a text message poll. By dismissing Ron Paul's victory, Sean Hannity is dismissing Ron Paul's supporters, and dismissing Democracy. Can guarantee Sean Hannity one thing...come the next Republican Debate, if FOX has a text or phone poll, I'm going to give my vote to Ron Paul just to PISS YOU OFF.

My hope...that Dennis Kucinich and Ron Paul seriously consider running together on an independent ticket. First, it would make a far better ticket than one with Ralph Nader on the top. Secondly, there is enough dissatisfaction with both parties that the two of them could actually get enough votes to bring a third political party into reality.

Off point question...how come Obama does not have his hand on his heart during the National Anthem?

Senator Hillary Clinton lives about six miles from my house, is my elected official in the United States Senate. If I call up her scheduler to make and appointment to speak with her, I am told she is FAR TO BUSY to meet with each of her constituents, and perhaps I should consider writing her a letter outlining my concerns...which in turn will be answered with a FORM LETTER created by some low level staff member. Now, if I really want five minutes of MY SENATORS time (short of writing out a BIG CHECK) I'd have a far better chance of sitting down with her if I jumped on a plane and flew out to Iowa. Not just picking on her, the same can be said for Biden, Obama, and any other federal politician running for President of the United States of America. Maybe we should have a new law written...if you are going to run for the highest office in the land, you first have to resign your current position.

Vendor directory to go online next week

Businesses eager to sell goods and services connected to the Democratic National Convention will soon have a directory online.

"The vendor directory will probably be live in the next week," Mike Dino, chief executive of the Denver host committee, told a meeting of 150 people on Thursday.

Planners expect 35,000 people here for the convention in late August 2008, with tens of millions of dollars in spending.

There's already an online application to register for the directory, with 20 categories, including banking, catering, security and transportation. There are also self-identified designations for businesses owned by minorities, women, persons with disabilities, veterans, as well as union shops and green companies.

Thursday's event, "Leveraging the Democratic National Convention," was a Downtown Denver Partnership member forum held at the Oxford Hotel.

In Who Cares Department-Jeb Bush Family Split on Republican Candidates

In the who really gives a flying fork department, seems that the Bush family is split on who to back in the Republican Primary. Jeb himself has not backed anyone, though he is encouraging friends to speak with Romney. Meanwhile, Jeb Junior is ON STAFF with Rudi...they apparently have a lot in common. Not to be out done, George P is following his own muse by giving some token support to Mr. Thompson. As if we needed a judge to tell us this, White House is told it should preserve its emails. Bush legal counsel has ten days to come up with a good excuse why Kennedy should not order the preservation of White House staff emails. Sorry Karl Rove, but "because we do not want too" is not an adequate reason.

All politics, even on a National Level are local. Last fall a major focus of my time was working to get John Hall elected to Congress. We in the grassroots were successful in our efforts, sending five term Republican Sue Kelly packing. Now, I understand there has to be cooperation across the isle in Washington, DC or at least the pretense of it. That being said, what is Congressman John Hall doing posing for a picture with Republican Congressman Lamborn who is most famous for his defense of Rush Limbaugh?

Not a fan of McCain here. Was less than happy with his attempts to secure Amnesty for what are criminals in America's 12-20 million illegal aliens. Shut down the jobs magnet, secure our border with Mexico, and employ local law enforcement across the entire nation to round up those here illegally, and send them home...OUCH, am I being politically incorrect? That being said, find Thompson's Swift Boat attack on the man WAY OUT OF BOUNDS. The man served, the man was a prisoner of war, so leave him alone. COLUMBIA, S.C. -- The man who flustered White House hopeful John McCain last week by questioning his standing among fellow Vietnam prisoners of war was a contributor to rival Fred Thompson's campaign.

Ed Nowokunski, a retired Air Force major and fighter pilot, gave $500 to Thompson's testing-the-waters committee in July, Federal Election Commission records show. He also gave $1,000 to President Bush a month after his bitter 2000 primary defeat of McCain in South Carolina, and again in 2004 when he wasn't opposed.

Like George Bush, Rudy Finds Jesus on Campaign Trial

Seems Rudy is wooing the religious right, while alienating all those that have grown very tired of living under the rules of the radical religious right during the George Bush administration. Let's gloss over the Supreme Court by and for the church that George bush created, and examine what Rudy is preaching to a skeptical choir.

1. Rudy promises he will not change his positions to fit prevailing winds. Good for Rudi, but will he change positions for his handlers, and deep pocketed donors is the real question. IE, let's not forget his COMPANY, and its close ties to Entergy.
Hard to trust a man that trots out his personal endorsement about the safety of one of the worst reactors in the world because the price is right.

2. Rudy admits to the folks over at the "Family Research Council (code for radical religious beliefs) summit that they may not always like his stands, but he'll give them reason to TRUST HIM. This from a man who moved his then MISTRESS into the Mayor's Mansion. Come on Rudi, until 9/11 you were ANYTHING but America's Mayor. Wave your magic wand all you want, you cannot change the past...you were a lousy mayor, and one tragic event made you what you are today...VERY VERY RICH.

3. Give Rudi credit for one thing though. He did admit he is an imperfect man. Thinking vile here, but then never was a friend of Rudi.

4. Like George Bush, Rudi claims his own belief in God, and his reliance on God's guidance is at the CORE of who RUDI is. Can see his conversations with Jesus now. So Jesus, should I dump my wife now, or just have an affair? Another thing Jesus, Entergy is offering me a whole lot of money. Now, I know the Indian Point plant is unsafe, know the evacuation plan will not work, and the tritium and strontium leaking into the Hudson River is troublesome, but wouldn't I be a fool to turn down that contract?

One thing America does not need any more of is any candidate pandering to the fringe religious groups.

Good for you Hillary...now, let me give you a wake up call. Try acting like a Senator to the citizens of New York, instead of taking us for granted. Maybe your rivals for the Democratic nod will take a clue and start paying us some attention, instead of pandering to a small population in some Midwestern State that most Americans don't really care about...no offense to Iowa, but lets be serious here, how many electorial votes do they really have? Clinton: I'm no frontrunner in Iowa

DES MOINES, Iowa (CNN) – Democratic White House hopeful Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-New York, said Saturday that she looks at her campaign as if she were "ten or twenty points behind."

Clinton–ahead in the latest national polls by as much as 30 points–made the comments to reporters when asked if she considers herself the frontrunner in Iowa, a state where she holds a much smaller lead.

"No," Clinton said. "I consider myself someone who's working as hard as I can everyday to earn the support of Iowans, and that's what I'm going to keep doing."

"I'm well aware that no one has voted. No one has caucused. We have a long way to go before that happens and I don't take anything for granted."

In the latest Des Moines Register poll among 399 likely Democratic caucus goers Clinton was in the lead in the Hawkeye State with 29 points. Former Sen. John Edwards, D-North Carolina, sat at 23 points, and Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois followed closely with 22. The margin of error was plus or minus 4.9 percentage points.

EL PASO — United States border agents have stepped up scrutiny of Americans returning home from Mexico, slowing commerce and creating delays at border crossings not seen since the months after the Sept. 11 attacks.

The increased enforcement is in part a dress rehearsal for new rules, scheduled to take effect in January, that will require Americans to show a passport or other proof of citizenship to enter the United States. The requirements were approved by Congress as part of antiterrorism legislation in 2004.

Border officials said agents along the southern border were asking more returning United States citizens to show a photo identity document. At the same time, agents are increasing the frequency of what they call queries, where they check a traveler’s information against law enforcement, immigration and antiterror databases.

Give us a break, Al and his wife Tipper are not exactly role models for conservation of natural resources. How many houses does that man own anyway? Has he ever flown coach in his life, and does he really believe flying a private jet is justifiable?

Hilary Clinton lives in a multi-million dollar home in Chappaqua, but wants us to think she represents the people? Can someone tell us again how much money she and Obama have raised so far? Pundits are already saying next years Presidential elections could be the first BILLION DOLLAR campaign, and these two front runners want to claim they are not OWNED by special interest. Lets have some honesty here for a change...neither of these two candidates give a rats ass about the average middle class American. Both will be renting out the Lincoln bedroom at the Whitehouse if the price is right.

As we approach the 2008 elections, I've decided I need a space here in the bloggosphere to speak my peace, to lend my voice to the political process. So, in the lines of a previous efforts (Washington Scandal, Beltway Pinto Beans) I've decided to launch this, "The Washington Bullsheet".

There will be no sacred cows here, nothing and no one is off limits, regardless of political or religious affliation. You want to do the pickle dance in an airport stall, that is your business, but when you get caught, have the decency to resign and get the hell out of town.
